Quick and efficient - timber frame comes into its own
Timber Frame falls is now one of the most widely used methods of construction. Considered as a modern method of manufacture or factory-built these systems generally come in a standard timber frame or closed-cell timber frame system.
As an eco-house builder, our starting u-value for our systems is 0.14. At this level, we know that the delivery of your energy-efficient eco-home is guaranteed to give you exactly what you are looking for in terms of performance and ongoing cost savings via our highly insulated walls and roofs.
Standard timber frame walls and roofs consist of a 140mm pre-insulated timber section with 120mm PIR high thermal insulation boards for maximum thermal efficiency.
To the internal face of the external wall, we then add a secondary layer of insulation, varying in depth to suit your requirements from 25mm to 100mm deep.
Convenient and extremely efficient, the walling features high spec foil breather membranes and comes fitted with a service cavity for easy wire/pipe installation.
Advanced closed-cell timber frame systems are built up in the same way as the standard timber frame walling but with the addition that the walls come pre ducted with electric cables and plumbing included ready for the second fix on site. The pre ducting and cabling is fitted on site. Advantages here are in time, costs, waste reduction and equipment but it should also be noted that more design input is required before production commences particularly regarding electrical installation, ventilation and plumbing.
Lindrick supply and fit both methods or will use a chosen supplier of yours as part of the overall turnkey project build.
